Cricket Tryon graduated from Indiana University at Indianapolis where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. After earning a degree in Journalism, Cricket pursued a career in broadcast news, working for WISH-TV in Indianapolis, Indiana; WHEC-TV and WUHF-TV in Rochester, New York; and KGTV in San Diego.
Cricket later chose to pursue the study of Law, receiving her Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law.
In her free time, Cricket enjoys sailing, camping, hiking, reading, visiting National Parks, traveling, in general, and laughing as much and as often as possible.
Cricket traveled to Anchorage, Alaska, authored a paper in International Environmental Law and the effects of climate change on indigenous people in the Arctic Circle.
Cricket also studied International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights at the Irish Center for Human Rights, part of the National University of Ireland in Galway.
